Surprising Moments of IPL 2022
- Top Surprising Performances by Players
Dinesh Karthik – Dinesh Karthik found himself sitting on the sidelines for a good part of his international career. His last IPL season was also average for KKR, scoring 223 runs in 17 matches at an average of above 22. Now playing for RCB, he has scored 285 runs at an average of 57.00 in 13 innings with a fifty, having stayed unbeaten 8 times. With his finishing skills, he has presented a strong case for a national comeback.
Kuldeep Yadav – During 2020s, Kuldeep Yadav suddenly found himself struggling to claw his way back into the national side with Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin putting up strong performances. He had terrible IPL 2020 with one wicket in four games and had to sit out throughout the next. However this season for DC, he has taken 20 wickets at an average of 19.30 and an economy of 8.45 in 13 matches, with the best of 4/14.
T Natarajan – 2021 was not a year to remember for this pacer, as he took only 2 wickets in eight games for SRH and also picked up an injury. However this year, he has made a comeback for his franchise and has boosted chances of a national comeback. In 11 games, the bowler has taken 18 wickets at an average of 22.55 and an economy of 9.4. His best bowling figures are 3/10.

Pat Cummins carnage (KKR vs MI)

A 15-ball 56 not out from Cummins brought Mumbai to their knees
Rahul Tewatia’s last over madness (GT vs PBKS)
Tewatia magic was on display earlier this season when he pulled off a highly improbable win for his team, the Gujarat Titans against Punjab Kings in Match 16.
With 12 runs needed off the last two deliveries, it was highly unlikely that Rahul, who till then had just faced one ball, would manage to hit Smith over the ropes twice. But Rahul scripted what is a bowling team’s nightmare in these kinds of situations. A couple of mighty blows over the deep fence and Tewatia reminded everyone of his Sharjah heroics.
Finishing the match off in style with two sixes, Rahul achieved what had looked like an impossible target for his team, which made the fans jump out of their chairs and left the opposition shell shocked watch ipl highlights 2022.
Dhoni rewinds the clock (CSK vs MI)
With 16 needed off the final 4 balls, the equation brought everyone to the edge of their seats because Dhoni ‘the finisher’ was on strike. A six off the third ball followed by a boundary and it was clear that it was vintage Dhoni on display. A couple of runs off the fifth ball brought the equation to 4 being needed off the last ball in ipl 2022 second match highlights.
Ice cool Mahi then whacked an under-pressure Unadkat for a four past short fine leg to pull off an incredible win for his side. CSK won the match by 3 wickets.
